Parliament has officially finalized the composition of its Appointments Committee, which will oversee the vetting of President John Dramani Mahama’s ministerial nominees.
The committee, chaired by Hon. Bernard Ahthon, features representatives from both the Majority and Minority sides, ensuring a balanced and inclusive review process.
The membership was formalized on January 8, 2025, following deliberations by the Committee of Selection. This action complies with Article 103 of the 1992 Constitution and the Standing Orders of Parliament. Key members include Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, serving as Vice Chairperson, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, and Hon. Alexander K. Afenyo-Markin, who will act as the Ranking Member.
