The Kumasi media fraternity is mourning the death of Hello FM and UTV reporter Samuel Aguri.
According to sources close to the family, Aguri died on Monday morning, 2 March 2026, after reportedly complaining of heart pains. Further details about the circumstances of his death have not yet been made public.
His sudden passing has come as a shock to colleagues and friends within the media industry in Kumasi and beyond.
Aguri was regarded as one of the promising young voices at the Kumasi-based media house. Colleagues describe him as passionate about his work, dedicated to his profession and committed to delivering accurate and timely reports.
