The Minister of the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has reiterated Government’s commitment to ensuring a transparent, fair and credible recruitment process across all security agencies.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday, the Minister said he earlier visited the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) recruitment screening centre at Christ the King in Accra to supervise the ongoing exercise.

According to him, the centralised recruitment system being used by the security services is robust and deliberately designed to minimise human interaction that could be compromised, explaining that this informed the decision by all security agencies to adopt the system.

Alhaji Muntaka stressed that the Ministry of the Interior has not taken over recruitment into the security services but is only playing a supervisory role in accordance with its mandate over the agencies under the Ministry. He noted that recruitment into the various security agencies remains the responsibility of the respective services, with the Ministry providing oversight to ensure strict adherence to established procedures and standards.

To further protect the integrity of the process, the Minister disclosed that a dedicated email address—[email protected]—has been established for the public to report any form of fraud, misconduct or irregularity in the recruitment exercise. He added that a dedicated team at the Ministry has been assigned to receive and investigate all complaints.

He reiterated Government’s resolve to sanitise recruitment into the security services by eliminating middlemen, bribery and other unethical practices that have in the past undermined public confidence.

The Minister commended applicants for their discipline and patience throughout the screening exercise and cautioned the public against individuals who claim they can influence recruitment outcomes for a fee, describing such claims as fraudulent.
He reaffirmed Government’s commitment to professionalism, fairness, transparency and respect for human dignity across all security agencies.
