The German Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Frederik Landshöft, has announced that several prominent German companies are actively seeking young professionals from Ghana, particularly those with skills in technical and vocational training.
During a courtesy visit to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, at Manhyia Palace, Ambassador Landshöft expressed strong interest in Ghanaian youth equipped with technical and vocational expertise.
He emphasized that Germany offers significant employment opportunities for these skilled workers.
“The field of technical vocational education and training is vitally important. Germany has many high-profile companies looking for motivated and professional young talents. This presents a win-win situation for both countries,” the Ambassador stated.
In response, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II pledged to establish a committee tasked with identifying areas where Asanteman could benefit from German collaboration and expertise.
Expressing support for the initiative, Ambassador Landshöft said, “Thank you very much for the proposal to set up a committee. We would love to cooperate on that.”
The Ambassador also shared that the German head of state plans to visit Ghana on November 4th, spending the day in Kumasi with hopes of meeting the Asantehene.
Ambassador Landshöft stressed “He’s going to spend time in Kumasi and is looking forward to having the honour to meet with Your Majesty and focus on the field of TVET, academic cooperation, and beyond.
“This is a big opportunity to deepen our cooperation even more between Ghana, Germany, and Kumasi,” the Ambassador added.
Responding to the upcoming visit, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II expressed his anticipation, stating, “Thank you very much. I look forward to seeing him.”
