KBTH query Allied Health Professions for engaging media over internal issues
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Leadership of the Korle Bu chapter of the Ghana Federation of Allied Health Professions have been queried  by management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) to explain why a disciplinary action should not be taken against them for engaging the media to discuss issues of the of the hospital  without recourse to internal processes.

The facility is of the view that their actions run contrary to the Hospital’s media engagement and the code of conduct and disciplinary proceedings.

The hospital in a query letter dated 9th August has given leadership of the professions four days  to respond to the undersigned which is by the close of day Monday, 12th August.

However, responding the query, the professions said ” we believe this query is part of tactics to stop us for insisting on their demand for an allied health directorate at the facility”.

They have warned this development will rather escalate the matter. Meanwhile, the national body of the Ghana Federation of Allied Health Professions has also given over the issue.
