Firebrand New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Kennedy Agyapong, has made a passionate appeal for unity within the party, urging members to forgive past grievances and rally behind a common cause for victory in 2024.

Speaking at a TESCON KNUST event under the theme “Rebuilding for Victory: Empowering TESCON for a Brighter Future,” the Assin Central MP acknowledged past conflicts but emphasized the need to move forward as a united front.

“I ask for forgiveness from those I have offended, and I have forgiven all those who offended me. Let’s unite for victory,” he declared, drawing thunderous applause from the audience, which included key party figures such as the MP for Oforikrom, former Members of Parliament, and other high-ranking NPP dignitaries.

The NPP Presidential candidate hopeful Kennedy Agyapong underscored the transformative power of education, hailing the NPP’s flagship Free SHS policy as one of the party’s greatest achievements.

“The greatest gift that anyone can give you is education. Free SHS is the best thing the NPP has done for Ghana,” he asserted, encouraging students to see themselves as the intellectual and strategic force driving the party’s future.

He also took a swipe at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing them of making empty promises and failing to deliver when in power.

“The NDC has a history of promising but not delivering. If we lose focus as a party, Ghana could face serious challenges in the years ahead,” he cautioned.

Turning his attention to the youth, the former Assin Central member of parliament urged TESCON members to take center stage in the NPP’s next election campaign. He stressed that their energy, dedication, and strategic involvement would be instrumental in ensuring victory for the party.

Demonstrating his commitment, he donated GHS 20,000 to support TESCON’s registration process and announced plans to make TESCON membership free in the near future, ensuring greater student participation.

The event concluded with a strong sense of renewed unity and purpose, as attendees were visibly inspired by Agyapong’s vision, humility, and unwavering support for the next generation of party leaders.

With the 2024 elections on the horizon, his message of forgiveness, unity, and action could play a crucial role in shaping the NPP’s strategy as it seeks to retain power.
