Investigators have made significant progress in the ongoing probe into the tragic death of Joana Deladem Yabani, a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
In a statement issued by KNUST’s Office of the Registrar on February 28, 2025, the university confirmed that law enforcement officials and university security services have successfully retrieved Yabani’s missing laptop and mobile phone.
These items were found hidden behind the Flint Hostel, a location identified through security surveillance footage.
The discovery is considered crucial evidence in the case.
The suspect in custody was arraigned before the Circuit Court in Asafo on the same day.
The court has since remanded the suspect, with the next hearing scheduled for March 17, 2025.
