Kofi Adade, former assembly member and current executive director of the Kofi Adade Foundation, has donated thousands of exercise books, pens, and pencils to students in ten schools across three districts and one municipality in the Ashanti Region.
The beneficiary areas include Sekyere Kumawu, Sekyere East, Atwima Kwanwoma, and the Ejisu Municipality.
In an interview following the presentation, Mr. Adade emphasized the need for the government to consider extending the Free Senior High School (SHS) program to basic schools, where many students face significant financial challenges.
Mr. Amos Berko, headmaster of Nsutam near Effiduase in the Sekyere East District, expressed appreciation on behalf of the students, stating that the donation will greatly enhance the quality of education in the area.
Nana Kwaku Agyei Dwuma, chief of Effiduase Nsutam, also praised Hon. Adade for his generosity and encouraged others to support educational development initiatives.
