Kwabena Frimpong, Deputy Protocol Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on party delegates to support the candidature of Justin Kodua Frimpong, describing him as a leader committed to building systems and structures to strengthen the party.
In a statement advocating support for Mr Kodua, Mr Frimpong cited a number of initiatives he attributed to the NPP General Secretary, including the establishment of the Patriotic Institute, which he described as a functional party school aimed at strengthening political education and the capacity of party members.
He also highlighted the establishment of a communication application for NPP communicators, saying it had improved coordination, information sharing and communication within the party.
According to Mr Frimpong, Mr Kodua also established a Party Policy Secretariat with functional committees to provide a platform for policy development and help shape the political narrative in the country.
He further credited the NPP General Secretary with leading more than 50 amendments to the party’s constitution, which he said were intended to improve the organisation, systems and structures of the party.
Mr Frimpong also said Mr Kodua had ensured that job and other opportunity slots were distributed across constituencies, regions, national structures and key stakeholders, describing the approach as a means of creating broader opportunities for party members.
“These are not just achievements; they are systems being built for the future of the New Patriotic Party,” Mr Frimpong stated.
He described Mr Kodua as a “strong political character” with exceptional emotional intelligence, listening skills and the courage and vision to implement reforms.
Mr Frimpong subsequently urged NPP members and delegates to support Mr Kodua, arguing that his continued leadership would sustain the reforms and systems he said had been initiated within the party.
He concluded his appeal with the slogan: “Vote for JFK. Vote for continuity. Vote for systems. Vote for progress.”
