Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has pledged his full support for the proposed Petroleum Hub project, describing it as feasible and achievable.
The assurance came during a courtesy call by officials of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) on the minister. The delegation included the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Toni Aubynn, Deputy Chief Executive for Finance and Administration Halimatu Sadia Abdulai, and other directors of the corporation.
Armah-Kofi Buah expressed confidence in the government’s commitment to the project and the approach adopted by PHDC in advancing its implementation.
He also gave assurances that he would work to expedite land acquisition processes necessary for the project.
As Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, he said he would engage directly with the Lands Commission to help accelerate procedures and provide the required institutional support.
The Petroleum Hub project is expected to position Ghana as a major centre for petroleum refining, storage and distribution in the region.
PHDC officials welcomed the minister’s endorsement, describing it as a significant boost to efforts aimed at advancing the project.
