The Member of Parliament for Lambussie, Hon. Titus K. Beyuo, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in the district with a GH¢97,000 donation of medical equipment while urging health workers to double their efforts in 2026.
Speaking at the Lambussie District Health Staff Awards, Hon. Beyuo commended health personnel for what he described as “immense sacrifices and dedication” throughout 2025 and assured them of ongoing interventions to reduce health worker attrition in the district. He also announced the completion of the Agenda 111 Project, saying it would significantly boost healthcare delivery and allow services to “flourish” in Lambussie.
As part of the event, the MP presented medical items including palpation beds, weighing scales, infusion supplies, blood pressure apparatus and other essential logistics to support health facilities across the district.
The awards ceremony, hosted by the Lambussie District Health Directorate, brought together key stakeholders, including the District Chief Executive, the Paramount Chief, Divisional Chiefs, and other sector partners. The event was chaired by the Deputy Director of Administration at the Upper West Regional Health Directorate, Mr. Prosper M. Lana.
Mr. Lana praised the district for recognising excellence among health workers and reiterated the Regional Health Directorate’s commitment to improving service delivery in Lambussie.
The District Director of Health Services, Mr. Bin-Eranaa Jerdu Nuhu, thanked stakeholders for their support, singling out the MP, the District Assembly and traditional authorities for their sustained interest in the health sector. He also encouraged health workers to aim for even higher performance in 2026.
A total of 17 health workers were honoured at the event, with the Best Health Worker receiving a brand-new motorbike, the 1st Runner-Up a refrigerator, and the 2nd Runner-Up a television set, while the remaining awardees received certificates of recognition.
Organisers say the awards have boosted staff morale and are expected to inspire improved performance across the district’s health facilities in the year ahead.
