Member of Parliament for Asawase, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has announced that he will personally cover the cost of nomination forms for all branch executives within the constituency ahead of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) internal elections.
In a statement captured on a campaign poster, the lawmaker described the initiative as part of his commitment to strengthening grassroots participation in the party’s organizational structure. “I hereby announce my commitment to personally cover the cost of nomination forms for all branch executives within the constituency,” he stated.

The announcement comes as the NDC prepares for its upcoming branch elections in the Asawase Constituency. According to the outlined timetable, the picking of nomination forms conducted online will take place from May 2 to May 16, 2026. This will be followed by branch elections scheduled between May 20 and June 2, 2026.
The move could significantly boost participation among party members who may otherwise face financial constraints, while also reinforcing the MP’s influence within the constituency.
The Asawase legislator’s intervention is expected to generate momentum within the party’s grassroots structures as preparations intensify for the internal electoral process.
