The Nana Kunady Agyeman family, together with the Aboatia Abusua of Mpobi, the Dwirafiesohene and the Dwirafieso Abusua of Antoa, and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has expressed deep gratitude to the public for the overwhelming sympathy shown following the passing of former First Lady, H.E. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
According to a statement delivered on behalf of the family by Oheneba Akwasi Abayie, Otumfuo Akomforehene, the final funeral rites will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Independence Square in Accra.
The funeral programme will begin at 6 a.m. with the arrival of the cortege at the venue. The family has announced black attire as the official dress code and noted that no commemorative cloth has been designated for the ceremony.
The event is open to the general public, and all mourners are encouraged to participate fully. Security and protocol officers will be on-site to guide attendees to their seats and ensure a smooth and orderly process throughout the service.
The family emphasized that the ceremony at Independence Square constitutes the final funeral rites, and no further ceremonies will be held elsewhere after the burial service concludes.
Mourners have been urged to arrive early and comply with all security and protocol directives to maintain decorum during the ceremony.
