The National House of Chiefs has expressed profound sorrow following the untimely passing of prominent government officials and military officers on the morning of Wednesday, 6th August 2025, while on official duty.
In a statement released today, the House conveyed its deep sadness and extended heartfelt condolences to the government, the military, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party, and all families affected by the tragedy.
The statement signed by Stephen Owusu, Public Relations Officer stated “With deep sorrow and a profound sense of national loss, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the government, the military, the National Democratic Congress Party (NDc) and all the bereaved families.”
The statement recognized the fallen officials’ immense sacrifices, steadfast loyalty, and unwavering dedication to public service as invaluable contributions that will forever be remembered.
“Words cannot take the pains of their families away, but we hope they will find comfort in God Almighty,” the statement read.
The National House of Chiefs called on government agencies, corporate entities, members of the diplomatic community, traditional leaders, religious organizations, and all well-meaning individuals to offer assistance in ways acceptable to the grieving families.
The House concluded with a prayer for eternal rest for the departed souls and strength for their loved ones during this difficult time.
“May the good Lord grant their souls eternal rest and comfort their families,” the statement remarked.
