The National Democratic Congress(NDC) is calling for a multi-stakeholder examination of the EC’s IT system to address vulnerabilities that could compromise the integrity of the upcoming elections on December 7, 2024.
This call by the Opposition National Democratic Congress comes after today’s Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting regarding the 2024 Provisional Voters Register.
In a press statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC highlighted several concerns admitted by the Electoral, including the illegal transfer of voters, corrupted files, and a vulnerable IT system within the Electoral Commission (EC).
The NDC also accepted the EC’s commitment to provide an updated register for scrutiny within a week and supports a dual-mode re-exhibition of the register.
