The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has expressed confidence that the party will retain the Sefwi Wiawso parliamentary seat, attributing this optimism to the extensive development projects the NPP has implemented in the area.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Sefwi Wiawso, the capital of Ghana’s Western North Region, Dr. Prempeh emphasized how these projects have significantly impacted the community, which he believes will translate into strong electoral support.
The NPP’s message of transformation, rooted in the national development vision of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is resonating with communities across Ghana, including Sefwi Wiawso.
Dr. Prempeh expressed his gratitude to Katakyie Kwasi Bumangamah II and the people of the region for their warm reception, viewing it as a sign of growing support for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Festus Bumakama Agyapong.
Dr. Prempeh highlighted the NPP’s long-standing commitment to the Western North Region, pointing to projects initiated during former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s tenure as evidence of the party’s dedication to the area’s progress.
He noted that around 80% of the major development projects in Sefwi Wiawso during the Fourth Republic were spearheaded by the NPP, underscoring the party’s focus on sustainable development for the community.
He also praised Agyapong for his commitment to improving the welfare of Sefwi Wiawso’s residents, emphasizing his dedication to community well-being.
