The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has donated GH¢100,000 to support victims of last night fire disaster at the Kwadaso main market in the Ashanti Region.
The devastating fire swept through parts of the market, destroying at least 40 shops and causing leaving victims helpless.
Ashanti Regional chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako led a delegation to console the victims in company of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Kwadaso, Agyenim Boateng Richmond, to present the donation.
In a consolation message Chairman Wontumi, assured the victims that the party is committed to support them to restart buses in a fire free market.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Agyenim Boateng Richmond, assured traders that the assembly will soon fix the burnt area and called for calm as the assembly mobilizes resources to develop the market.
The donation and visit demonstrate the NPP’s commitment to supporting affected traders and helping them recover from the losses incurred in the fire.
