At today’s Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Justin Frimpong Koduah, challenged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to present concrete evidence of their alleged electoral discrepancies.
He stated that despite repeated calls from key stakeholders for the NDC to substantiate their claims, the party has yet to submit any formal documentation to the Electoral Commission (EC).
Koduah urged the NDC to organize a press conference and walk stakeholders through the specific allegations they have raised.
He emphasized that the EC is yet to receive any of the purported discrepancies on record, adding that the Commission has addressed all legitimate concerns brought forward.
“I challenge the NDC to present all the allegations they are making and let us interrogate them to see if the Electoral Commission has resolved the issues. The people of Ghana deserve to see the evidence,” Koduah stated.
He further criticized the NDC’s demand for a forensic audit of the voters’ register, describing it as unnecessary at this stage, given the lack of presented allegations. Koduah also requested that the EC provide an updated report on the recent voter data cleanup exercise to enable further review by stakeholders.
The meeting took place amid ongoing discussions about ensuring a transparent and credible electoral process ahead of the 2024 elections.
