The New Patriotic Party (NPP) General led by Justin Kodua Frimpong has assured traders affected by the recent fire outbreak at the Adum Railway Market of the party’s commitment to supporting their recovery.
During a visit to the site, he announced a donation of GHS 100,000 to aid victims and help reconstruct damaged structures.

Addressing traders and community members, the General Secretary emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to restore the market and ensure traders can resume business.
He called on both the government and the private sector to assist in rebuilding efforts.
“The NPP understands the struggles of these traders, and we stand with them in this difficult time. We urge all stakeholders to come together to provide the necessary support,” he said.

The visit comes amid growing concerns over fire outbreaks in market centers, which have left many traders struggling to recover their losses.
The General Secretary also highlighted the need for improved safety measures to prevent future incidents.
The affected traders welcomed the NPP’s support, expressing hope that the intervention would help them rebuild their businesses.
Meanwhile, government officials have pledged to assess the extent of the damage and explore additional relief measures.

The cause of the fire is yet to be officially determined, but authorities are investigating the incident to prevent a recurrence.
