The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed receipt of a petition filed against its Bono Regional Chairman, Mr. Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, over allegations of gross misconduct and violations of the party’s constitution.

In a letter dated October 2, 2025, and signed by the party’s Director of Finance and Administration, William Yamoah, the NPP assured that the petition had been duly acknowledged and would be referred to the National Executive Committee (NEC) for consideration and further action in line with constitutional procedures.

“The content of your petition has been noted and shall be referred to the Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) for appropriate consideration and further action per the Party’s constitutional procedures,” the statement read.

The party also expressed appreciation for the petitioner’s cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the values and structures of the NPP.

The petition was filed by Hon. Kwesi Poku Bosompem, Chairman of the NPP’s Tema West Constituency, who raised concerns over the conduct of Mr. Baffoe.

The NEC is expected to deliberate on the petition in due course and determine the appropriate response to the allegations.
