NPP supporters attack Wodemaya for calling their government a failure.

Wodemaya, a renowned social media influencer and YouTuber, took to his social media platforms, particularly X and Facebook, to criticize the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government for the country’s rapid deterioration.

His call comes after members of Democracy Hub were arrested for demonstrating against the government over the galamsey menace.

These are the words contain in the Wodemaya’s post “This is Not The Same Ghana We Know! #FreetheCitizens”…

This tweet angered the foot soldiers of the ruling New Patriotic Party and other state officials. They claim the post is an attempt to tarnish the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Excerpts from the comments raised by NPP supporters.

CEO of NEIP Kofi Ofosu Nkansah commented on the post “This happened in your wife’s country, Kenya. The Gh protesters were arrested for taking the law into their hands and creating inconvenience for road users”.

Wodemaya responded “I was definitely not expecting a wise comment from u considering your cover photo!”

Readers are probably wondering what Kofi Ofosu Nkansah’s cover photo is – it’s a picture of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP running mate.

Kofi Tonto Presidential aide to the Vice President also commented “don’t use your platform to mislead and misinform the world. Where were you when:

The citizens said Ghanaians are animals and that some deserve to die”…

Afia Akoto “you never spoke against their indiscipline acts. Use your platform to engage positively as you see in the world you travel. That is why God gave you the platform”.

Frank Mandela Bawumai “Did the Ghana you know block access to a hospital in the name of demonstration?”

Papa Kay “If you demonstrate beyond, we’ll discipline you period”…

THREATS TO UNFOLLOW WODEMAYA SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT.

Kofi Ofosu Nkansah took to his Facebook page and wrote the following:

“According to Wodemaya, anybody who associates with the NPP or Bawumia brand can’t be wise.

NPP supporters take note. I just unfollowed him”, Kofi posted.

This message triggered a number of NPP supporters into tweeting on the blue app to unfollow Wodemaya’s page.

However, it appears the NPP foot soldiers are not as strong as they claim. When the CEO stated he had unfollowed the YouTuber, urging party foot soldiers to follow suit, Wodemaya’s page had 1.8 million followers.

The Wodemaya page remains unchanged in terms of numbers, and furthermore, the YouTuber has announced that he has garnered 5,000 new followers within 24 hours.

“5,000 New Followers in 24 hrs? What happened?” He posted with a laughing Supporters of the governing New Patriotic Party have blasted Wodemaya for calling their government a failure.
