The New Patriotic Party-USA (NPP-USA) has strongly refuted recent allegations made by political commentator Kevin Taylor, describing his claims as unfounded and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.
In a statement issued on January 29, 2025, NPP-USA dismissed Taylor’s assertion that he possesses a list of undocumented members of the organization, which he allegedly plans to report to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The group labeled the claim as a desperate bid for attention, urging Taylor to present any such evidence to ICE within 24 hours.
“If Kevin Taylor truly possesses such a list, we challenge him to submit it to ICE within 24 hours. Failure to do so will only confirm what is already evident—his claims are nothing more than falsehoods designed to mislead the public,” the statement read.
NPP-USA also denounced Taylor’s assertion that ICE offers a $750 reward for whistleblowers, calling it a “blatant fabrication” and warning that spreading misinformation about a U.S. government agency is a serious matter.
The party reassured its members that their data is secure and that Taylor has no access to official membership records. According to the statement, the document he displayed was merely a publicly available blank NPP-USA registration form, accessible to anyone online.
“Possessing this form does not equate to having sensitive data, nor does it hold any legal or strategic significance,” the party emphasized.
Additionally, NPP-USA highlighted that its executive members frequently travel between Ghana and the United States for party activities, business, and personal reasons, arguing that if Taylor’s allegations were true, these individuals would not be able to move freely.
The party accused Taylor of using his media platform, Loud Silence TV, to spread falsehoods and engage in divisive rhetoric. It described him as a “failed political operative” with no credibility, alleging that he consistently attacks hardworking Ghanaians while supporting a party that has not delivered meaningful progress.
NPP-USA also criticized Taylor’s understanding of U.S. immigration laws, asserting that ICE does not act on directives from political commentators who thrive on misinformation.
In its final remarks, NPP-USA called on Ghanaians in the U.S. and beyond to ignore Taylor’s allegations, reaffirming the party’s commitment to mobilizing support for the New Patriotic Party and contributing to Ghana’s development.
“His attempts to mislead the public will not succeed. NPP-USA remains steadfast in its mission and will not be distracted by baseless accusations,” the statement concluded.
The party made it clear that it would not be deterred by what it described as Taylor’s “desperate propaganda” and reaffirmed its focus on supporting Ghana’s progress.
