The Akwatia District Police Command has launched investigations into an alleged assault on Alhaji Masawudu Osman at Akwatia.
According to a statement signed by DSP David Fianko Okyere of the Eastern South Regional Public Affairs Unit, the incident was reported to police on Tuesday, September 2. The complainant, Alhaji Masawudu, was issued a medical form to seek treatment at a hospital and to return the endorsed form to assist with ongoing inquiries.
The case has since been referred to the Eastern South Regional Police Command for further investigation.
Police have assured the public that due process will be followed to ensure justice.
