In preparation for the launch of its 2024 election manifesto on Saturday, August 24, 2024, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled a series of meetings with key stakeholders within the party.
These meetings are intended to brief members on the content of the manifesto and other related activities.
The Manifesto Committee will brief the General Secretary, National Chairman, and the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) on their responsibilities at the program on August 15, 2024.
A joint briefing session with the FEC, Council of Elders, and Minority Leadership in Parliament will be held on August 14, 2024, to discuss the manifesto’s content.
Designing and printing of both hard and soft copies of the manifesto are scheduled for completion in Accra by August 20, 2024.
Additionally, the design and printing of materials for disseminating the manifesto will be finalized by August 25, 2024.
The selection and briefing of spokespersons on the manifesto will be conducted by the National Communications Officer on August 20, 2024.
Following this, training sessions for national and regional communication teams on how to effectively disseminate the manifesto’s content will take place on August 26 and 27, 2024.
To further explain the manifesto in detail, the NDC plans to hold a series of town hall meetings across various regions of Ghana:
- Kumasi (Cluster 1): Bono Region, Bono East Region, Ahafo Region, Ashanti Region in September 2024.
- Ho (Cluster 2): Volta Region, Oti Region in September 2024.
- Accra (Cluster 3): Greater Accra Region, Eastern Region in September 2024.
- Takoradi (Cluster 4): Western Region, Western North Region, Central Region in October 2024.
- Tamale (Cluster 5): Savannah Region, Upper East Region, Upper West Region, North East Region, Northern Region in October 2024.
These town hall meetings aim to provide a comprehensive explanation of the NDC’s 2024 manifesto, engaging with party members and the public across the country.
