Prominent Ghanaian media personality, Serwaa Amihere, has opened up about a challenging period in her life, offering a candid reflection on the importance of making thoughtful decisions, particularly for young people.
Speaking at an event attended predominantly by university students, Serwaa shared heartfelt advice drawn from her own experiences.
“I went through an extremely difficult year last year,” she said, alluding to the fallout from a leaked tape with her ex-partner that caused her significant emotional distress. Without delving into the specifics of the incident, she emphasized the lasting impact of decisions made in youth.
“Be extremely careful and selective of the decisions you make while you’re young,” Serwaa urged. “Six, seven, five, three, or even two years later, those choices can come back to haunt you.”

“In my period of depression, she came to my house and took me out for ice cream. She didn’t let me sit in my pain. That simple gesture of care meant the world to me,” Serwaa recounted emotionally.
Serwaa praised her friend for being a pillar of support, not just to her but also to her sister, adding that her gratitude for the friendship remains profound.
