Rafik Mahama, special aide to prominent businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama, has publicly refuted circulating reports that Suzzy Adwoa Pinamang, the Adventist Senior High School student who was recently flown to the United Kingdom for emergency eye treatment, has already undergone surgery and regained her sight.
In a detailed Facebook post, Rafik Mahama emphasized that Suzzy’s medical journey is still in its early stages and that the surgery has not yet been performed.
He wrote ““The medical procedure towards recovery for Suzzy Pinamang has just begun in the UK. She has not yet undergone surgery,”
“We remain optimistic and confident that the surgery will be successful. It is not true that she has already had the surgery and recovered-this is too soon. We are still in the process leading up to the surgery”, Mahama clarified.
He further assured the public that updates will be provided once there are significant developments following the surgery. “Please note, we will provide updates to the public as soon as there is a significant development after the surgery,” he added.
Mahama further disclosed that Suzzy is receiving treatment at Moorfields Eye Hospital, a globally recognized institution renowned for excellence in ophthalmology.
Rafik expressed strong confidence in the hospital’s expertise and Suzzy’s prospects for recovery.
“Moorfields Eye Hospital is renowned as one of the best eye hospitals in the world, and we are strongly confident that Suzzy will be well after the surgery,” he affirmed.
