STC commissions newly built Asafo labor bus terminal in Kumasi

GH-Link Transport Services, in partnership with State Transport company limited STC has commissioned its newly built Asafo STC bus terminal in kumasi.

Addressing the commissioning of the new Asafo STC Bus Terminal, Joseph Sackey, General manager of GH-link emphasizing his commitment to innovation, integrity, and customer satisfaction in the transport sector.

The event marked a significant milestone for the company as it expanded its reach to serve more passengers across the nation.

A Facility Built for Efficiency and Growth

Speaking to a gathering of dignitaries, transport officials, and community leaders, Mr. Sackey praised the new terminal’s modern design and state-of-the-art amenities.

“This facility isn’t just a bus station—it’s a gateway to opportunity and progress,” he said. “From secure banking services to CCTV monitoring for passenger safety, we are setting a new standard for what transport infrastructure should look like.”

He noted that the terminal is equipped to handle high passenger volumes efficiently, offering enhanced convenience with amenities such as waiting lounges, ticketing counters, shopping mall, salon, event center, rest rooms and a family-friendly environment.

“We’re not just building for today; we’re preparing for the future, ensuring every traveler feels valued and respected,” Sackey added.

Mr. Sackey also touched on broader issues affecting the transport sector. He reiterated his stand against corruption and illegal practices, calling for transparency and adherence to regulations across the industry.

“We will not tolerate shortcuts or excuses. GH-Link is about doing things the right way, every time,” he declared.

He acknowledged that challenges, such as road congestion and operational inefficiencies, continue to impact the sector but assured attendees that GH-Link is committed to addressing these issues head-on.

“Our vision is to create a transport network that is safe, efficient, and accessible to all,” he said.

A Customer-Centric Approach

Sackey highlighted the role of customer satisfaction in GH-Link’s success. “Our passengers are our priority. This terminal is designed with their needs in mind—from affordable fares to accessible services. We want everyone, from the solo traveler to large families, to feel at home here.”

He also announced plans to introduce additional services, such as digital ticketing and loyalty programs, to enhance the passenger experience.

“Innovation is at the heart of what we do, and we’re excited to bring our customers along on this journey of transformation,” he stated.

A Bright Future Ahead

As he concluded his address, Sackey reflected on the broader implications of the Asafo STC terminal.

“This isn’t just about GH-Link; it’s about building a brighter future for transport in Ghana. When we invest in infrastructure like this, we invest in people, in communities, and in the growth of our nation.”

The commissioning of the Asafo STC Bus Terminal is expected to boost local commerce, ease travel logistics, and improve the overall commuting experience for thousands of passengers.

With Joseph Sackey’s leadership, GH-Link Transport Services is poised to lead the way in reshaping Ghana’s transport landscape.
