Economist and lecturer Dr. GeorgeDomfeh has expressed strong dissatisfaction with TV3, accusing the station of publishing what he describes as an incomplete video of his recent on-air confrontation with University of Ghana lecturer professor, Ransford Gyampo.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Domfeh alleged that a critical portion of the encounter—where Prof. Gyampo allegedly stood up and attempted to throw a punch at him—was absent from the footage released by the television network.
According to Domfeh, he only discovered the edited video early Friday morning after returning home “extremely exhausted” the previous night. He questioned the circumstances surrounding the editing of the broadcast.
“Interestingly, the part where Gyampo got up from his seat and attempted to throw a punch at me is conspicuously missing from the footage,” he wrote.
Domfeh raised a series of questions, suggesting that the omission may have been intentional.
“Was it a trap?” he asked, further inquiring whether TV3 had “sat with Gyampo to edit the video.”
He stressed that he did not object to the station releasing the footage but expected the “entire video” to be made public.
The economist described himself as “so disappointed in TV3,” adding that the incident would not deter him from expressing his views.
“This will never stop me from speaking my mind,” he declared.
TV3 has not yet issued a public response to Domfeh’s allegations.
