The flagbearer of the governing NPP Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says the 2024 General elections must not be about insults and violence.
He says the election must be peaceful in order to ensure continuity in the pace of development the country is currently enjoying.
Speaking at the Holiness Pentecost Church in the Weija-Gbawe constituency on Sunday, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said, “we pray to have peaceful elections this year. The process is about espousing your ideas and not insults or violence. If you have your idea, share it and not resort to insults or violence. We must ensure we have peace just as we are enjoying now”.
He called on the congregation to pray for Ghana to continue enjoying peace for development.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who returned to his campaign after touring some parts of the Eastern Region, as part of the campaign on Sunday, will visit Weija-Gbawe, Anyaa-Sowutuom, Domeabra-Obom and Ngleshi-Amanfrom constituencies where he will engage party supporters as well as the clergy and traditional rulers.
