UK visa application: Fresh Services with VFS Global in Ghana Starting 22 Oct 2024
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

From October 22, 2024, Ghanaians applying for UK visas will experience a new process, as the UK’s third-party Visa Application Centre (VAC) service provider in Ghana changes to VFSGlobal. This switch marks a key upgrade in services, designed to bring enhanced convenience and efficiency.

What This Means for You:

  • If you’ve already started your visa application with TLScontact, don’t worry! You’ll simply need to complete the process with VFSGlobal. Expect an email with all the details if this change impacts you.
  • There’s no need to stress—this update won’t affect visa decisions, processing times, or fees.

Why the Change?

This new VAC partnership aims to improve the overall experience for visa applicants. Here’s how:

  • Faster biometric and application submission times: Expect shorter waits when submitting your documents.
  • Quicker passport collection: On average, you’ll be able to pick up your passport in just 20 minutes!
  • Clearer service options: Distinguish between free and paid services with ease.

What’s the New VAC Location?

The Ghanaian VAC is now located at the Mezzanine Floor, Grand Oyeeman Building, South Liberation Link, Accra.

UKVI’s Commitment to Service

Marc Owen, the Director for Visa, Status, and Information Services at UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI), expressed his enthusiasm about the inauguration of the new Visa Application Center (VAC) in Ghana. He noted that this development represents a significant advancement in providing a premier UK visa service.

Owen emphasized that the new center will incorporate cutting-edge digital innovations and enhancements designed to improve the overall experience for applicants, making the visa application process more convenient and efficient for individuals seeking to travel to the UK.
