Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy Director of Operations at the Jubilee House, has unleashed a blistering attack on Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South.
In an interview monitored by Kumasimail.com, Gbande alleged that Ntim Fordjour was involved in a significant scandal at the Ministry of Education, particularly concerning the school feeding program and teachers’ payroll.
He claimed that some individuals were receiving salaries as teachers for non-existent schools.
“The upcoming biggest scandal that Ntim Fordjour and his people orchestrated is the scandal at the Ministry of Education involving school feeding and teachers’ payroll. Some people were called teachers and were taking salaries, but they were teaching at non-existent schools”, he told CJ of Adom FM in an interview.
Gbande lambasted Ntim Fordjour, labeling him as “nobody” and calling for an end to what he described as the glorification of “nonsense” in Ghana.
Gbande stated that investigations are ongoing and will soon reveal the extent of corruption under Ntim Fordjour’s watch.
He stressed“We have conducted the investigations, and the findings are forthcoming.
“Ntim Fordjour is nobody, and we should not glorify nonsense in this country. These characters have sat at the heart of this level of corruption. We will expose the corruption related to school feeding, and then you will understand the kind of people who are speaking out”, he noted.
He emphasized that while personal insults are tolerable, damaging the country’s reputation internationally is unacceptable.
“You can insult John Mahama, there’s no problem with it; you can insult us, there’s no problem with it,” Gbande stated.
“But when you seek to tarnish the reputation and credibility of the country before the international community, it is offensive.”
If you recall, Former Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has alleged widespread corruption and mismanagement within Ghana’s school feeding programme, which provides meals to students in public schools.
Speaking on Wontumi TV on Wednesday, March 19, the former Dome/Kwabenya Member of Parliament urged the government of President John Dramani Mahama to prioritise reforms in the sector, warning that unchecked corruption is draining resources and undermining the programme’s effectiveness.
Recounting her tenure, Adwoa Safo revealed that former President Nana Akufo-Addo had instructed her to audit the school feeding programme before releasing funds for her ministry.
However, she claimed that after submitting the audit report to the Cabinet, the President distanced himself from the directive due to pressure from individuals within the government.
