Paramount Chief, of Wenchi Traditional Council, Osagyefo Ampem Anye Amoampong Tabrako III, has extended warm Easter greetings to the people of Ghana.
In a statement, Osagyefo Ampem Anye Amoampong Tabrako III conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the nation during the Easter celebration.
“On the occasion of Easter, I wish to extend my most cordial and fraternal greetings to you and to the beloved people of Wenchiman,” he stated.
Reflecting on the significance of Easter, the Omanhene likened the celebration to the biblical account of God delivering His people from bondage and leading them to the Promised Land.
He prayed for divine blessings and protection for the people of Wenchiman and the entire country.
“May the eternal and merciful God be with you today and always, and may He accompany Wenchiman and the entire nation with the abundance of His blessings,” he said.
Osagyefo Tabrako III emphasized the importance of cleanliness, describing it as being next to godliness.
He stressed that maintaining a clean environment and observing personal hygiene are not only vital for physical health but also reflect moral and spiritual purity.
“This is a reminder that both our outward appearance and inner character are important in living a life close to God,” he noted.
He also urged residents of the Wenchi Municipality to desist from polluting local water bodies such as the Yooyoo, Gofo, and Kramogya streams with plastic waste and other refuse.
The Omanhene called for collective responsibility in protecting these water sources from further contamination.
He further, appealed to the public to safeguard tree-planting initiatives spearheaded by the Forestry Commission in forest reserves including the Sawsaw and Yahya Forests.
He cautioned farmers who have encroached on these protected areas to vacate immediately to prevent environmental degradation.
In his Easter message, the traditional leader encouraged Christians to let the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross serve as a source of inspiration, motivating all to serve their families, communities, and others with love and without discrimination.
