Ernestina Akosua Brimpomaa, elder sister of the late legendary Ghanaian musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has accused the family and funeral planning committee of sidelining her and some of the musician’s children in the final funeral arrangements.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Akosua Brimpomaa alleged that she and Akosua Serwaa legal wife of the deceased were deliberately left out of preparations for their brother’s funeral.

“They want to organize the funeral in our absence, myself and Serwaa because they didn’t inform us,” she lamented during the interview.

She further disclosed that some of Daddy Lumba’s children living abroad have also not been contacted regarding the ceremony.

“One of his children, Darling, and his mother are in Canada. They haven’t been informed about the funeral,” she claimed, confirming that the family was aware of their existence.

“They even came for the one-week celebration,” she added.

When asked about the number of the late musician’s children, Akosua Brimpomaa revealed that her brother had “eleven children with four different women.”

Touching on the issue of who should be recognized as the chief widow, she explained that after the one-week celebration, a meeting was held where the eldest wife appealed to be acknowledged as the sole widow.

“There was a meeting after the one-week observance, it was on a Tuesday. During that meeting, the elder wife stood up and told the family head that she wanted to be recognized as the only widow,” she said.

Responding to whether she supports that appeal, Akosua Brimpomaa stated, “She is the wife I know my brother married, so if she wants to be recognized as the widow, I have nothing against that.”

Meanwhile, reacting to a circulating letter on social media allegedly issued by the family concerning the cause of Daddy Lumba’s death, Akosua Brimpomaa expressed discontent that no one seemed interested in probing the matter.

“I know everything about it. Charles can’t just die like a fowl and we proceed to hold a funeral. I’m hurt that nobody is asking what killed my brother. People are rather seeking to enrich themselves after his death instead of finding out the truth,” she declared emotionally.
