The Indigenous Poultry Farmers’ Association of Ghana (IPFAG) has honoured the Northern Regional Minister, Hon. Ali Adolf John Mburudiba, with a Certificate of Recognition in appreciation of his outstanding support toward the growth of the association and its contribution to national development.
The award was presented on Tuesday, 30th December 2025, in recognition of the Minister’s instrumental role in transforming IPFAG from a regional-based association into a nationally recognised body.
Presenting the certificate, IPFAG National President, Mr. Issifu Basideen, commended Hon. Ali Adolf John for his unwavering commitment to the association’s vision.
“IPFAG started purely as a regional initiative. It was through the encouragement, interventions, and continuous support of Hon. Ali Adolf John that the association grew beyond the Northern Region to attain national recognition,” Mr. Basideen stated.
He further praised the Regional Minister for his resilience and dedication to the survival and sustainability of indigenous poultry farming in Ghana, noting that his efforts have empowered local farmers and strengthened the poultry value chain nationwide.
Receiving the honour, Hon. Ali Adolf John Mburudiba expressed deep appreciation to the leadership and members of IPFAG, describing the recognition as a renewed call to service.
“This honour is not just for me, but for our collective belief in the power of local agriculture. Indigenous poultry farming is key to rural livelihoods, job creation, and national food security,” the Minister said.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting IPFAG and similar farmer-based organisations, stressing that government–stakeholder collaboration remains critical to sustainable agricultural growth.
“I remain committed to working with IPFAG to expand opportunities for farmers, strengthen local production, and reduce our dependence on imported poultry products,” Hon. Ali Adolf John added.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the partnership between IPFAG and regional authorities, highlighting the crucial role of public leadership in driving agricultural innovation, farmer empowerment, and inclusive national growth.
