An Okada rider has allegedly been shot and killed by an armed robber before fleeing with his motorbike at Adugyama in Ahafo Ano South East District the Ashanti region.
Eyewitnesses say that the suspect abandoned the victim at the scene and escaped with the stolen motorcycle.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 late afternoon thrown the Adugyama community in a state of shock.
In a dramatic turn of events, the suspect while feeing for cover on the motorbike got involved in an accident and was subsequently rushed to Mankranso government Hospital for medical care.
Upon learning of his whereabouts, a group of Okada riders in the area reportedly stormed the hospital in an attempt to lynch him.
However, swift intervention by the police from Mankranso averted further violence in the health facility.
The suspect is now in police custody as investigations continue in the robbery incident.
