The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has issued a stern warning, stating that no security personnel will be allowed to kill citizens at polling stations or collation centers during the upcoming elections and go unpunished.
Addressing supporters in Upper West Akyem constituency in Eastern Region, Asiedu Nketia referenced the tragic killing of eight individuals during the 2020 elections, assuring that such an event would not be tolerated again.
He emphasized the NDC’s commitment to seeking justice for those who lost their lives.
Asiedu Nketia also urged voters to protect their ballots by ensuring that votes are properly counted and declared.

He stressed that the will of the people must be respected and warned that any attempts to rig the election could result in chaos.
The NDC Chairman also criticized the National Peace Council, reiterating that the party will not sign the Peace Pact.
He directed the Council to focus on advising the President, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the Vice President, who chairs the Police Council, to prevent extrajudicial killings during elections.
