Ghanaian preacher Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun has publicly accused an unnamed senior bishop of attempting to damage his reputation by sharing private communications and influencing other clergy against him.
In a lengthy social media post titled “The Bishop Who Instigated Other Senior Men of God Against Me (Part 3),” the preacher alleged that the bishop circulated private WhatsApp messages he had sent in an attempt to resolve a dispute amicably.
According to him, the messages were shared among senior and junior ministers, leading to ridicule and negative perceptions about him.
ElBernard stated that he initially sought to address the matter privately, consistent with his personal principles, but was allegedly ignored and later blocked by the bishop on WhatsApp.
He further claimed that the bishop used public platforms, including Facebook, to indirectly criticize him while presenting his comments as general corrections within prophetic ministry.
The preacher also raised concerns about what he described as a culture of gossip, misrepresentation, and division among some Christian leaders, questioning the nature of private discussions among clergy.
He additionally alleged that other individuals, including a preacher he described as an “apologetics minister,” had made claims of possessing damaging information about him. ElBernard challenged those claims and warned of possible legal action if such allegations were pursued.
Despite the escalating nature of the dispute, ElBernard maintained that he had followed due process by reaching out privately to the bishop, his associates, and other senior figures before taking the matter public.
The identity of the bishop at the center of the allegations was not disclosed in the post. Efforts to obtain a response from the individuals mentioned have so far been unsuccessful.
The development has sparked conversations within religious circles, particularly around accountability, conflict resolution, and the use of social media in addressing internal disputes among church leaders.
