The Bekwai Constituency was this morning thrown into a moment of frenziness when the entire supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party presented the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party with beautifully decorated flowers to welcome him and his entourage to the Constituency.
Inspired by the selfless dedication and commitment of the Regional Chairman to the service of the party, the Bekwai Constituency executives presented the flowers to the Chairman Wontumi as their token of appreciation for everything he has and continue to do for the ruling party.
In an address to officially welcome Chairman Wontumi and his team to the Constituency as part of their campaign tour, the executives recounted with tears in their eyes, the fact that as late as 11pm on Thursday, Chairman Wontumi was still actively campaigning at the Odotobri Constituency.
” We heard reports that you were still campaigning in the Odotobri Constituency which shares neighbours with us as late 11pm, we were wondering how you were going to make it to our constituency this morning but here you are; in fact you have really demonstrated to us the kind of sacrifices we all need to make for this party”
According to them, the visit by Chairman Wontumi has not only gingered their spirit, but has also given them hope that the NPP will achieve a resounding victory come December 7.
“Your immeasurable and unwavering commitment to the NPP is a source of motivation for all of us, particularly we those in Bekwai Constituency here, you always inspire us to give our all for this party and for this reason we want to decorate you with these flowers to indelibly remind you that we really appreciate your efforts and hardwork”
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the ongoing campaign tour by the Ashanti Regional Chairman has generated a renewed commitment by the grassroots support base of the party ahead of similar expected to be embarked upon by the Vice President and flagbearer of the party, His Excellency Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, a couple of weeks from now.
