The ongoing constituency campaign tour by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party Chairman Wontumi continues to produce outstanding results.
Few weeks after converting some stalwarts of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Ejisu Constituency into the fold of the ruling party, the Regional Chairman has once again invaded the territory of the opposition party in the Bekwai Constituency.
Chairman Wontumi, who has been a thorn in the flesh of the NDC has managed to convert some group of women belonging to the Bekwai NDC Caucus to the NPP.
The group of women announced their defection to the ruling party during his ongoing constituency campaign tour.
The defectors, who could not hide their joy and excitement were decorated with the lovely blue, white and red colours of the NPP by the indefatigable Regional Chairman.
Chairman Wontumi has for the past few months intensified grassroots campaign activities with constituency tours, capturing more supporters into the fold of the ruling party.
