The Ministry of Health Ghana has announced plans to commence a nationwide recruitment of health professionals beginning April 16, 2026, following the approval of financial clearance.
According to a statement issued and signed by the Ministry’s spokesperson, Tony Goodman, the recruitment exercise will be decentralised and conducted at the district level, based on verified vacancies.
The Ministry indicated that the process will be competitive and transparent, guided by an approved quota system across all professional cadres and year groups. It further emphasized that all recruitments will be carried out within approved budgetary limits.
Qualified health professionals have been advised to monitor official Ministry of Health platforms as well as district health administration channels for vacancy announcements and detailed application procedures. Applicants are also encouraged to prepare the necessary documentation and credentials ahead of the rollout.
The statement noted that the financial clearance for the recruitment exercise will remain valid until December 31, 2026, with all hiring expected to be completed within that timeframe.
The Ministry urged eligible professionals to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to strengthening healthcare delivery across the country.
