Hope Global Ghana Mission, a U.S.-based Ghanaian charitable organization, has donated medical supplies worth GH¢200,000 to two health facilities in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region.

The beneficiary hospitals are the Wenchi Methodist Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital in Koase.

Each facility received boxes of modern medical equipment and supplies, including hand gloves, syringes, digital thermometers, orthopedic tools, theatre equipment, and other essential medical items.

Speaking at the donation ceremony at his residence in Akonkontiwaam, a suburb of Wenchi, Reverend Akumfi Ameyaw, Director of Hope Global Ghana Mission, emphasized the organization’s continuous commitment to supporting the health sector.

“This is the 12th time we are making such a donation. Our goal is to promote quality healthcare within the Wenchi Municipality and across Ghana,” he stated.

He further appealed to Ghanaians, both home and abroad, to support government initiatives aimed at developing the country.

Reverend Ameyaw also used the occasion to call on residents of Wenchi to stop supporting the activities of nomadic Fulani herdsmen, whose cattle reportedly destroy farmlands and food crops.

“I urge all those aiding these activities to put an immediate stop to it. We must work together with our chiefs and elders to attract investors and develop Wenchi,” he added.

Receiving the medical supplies on behalf of both hospitals, Mr. Martin Amoako, Administrative Manager at St. Joseph Hospital, expressed deep appreciation to Hope Global Ghana Mission for their generosity.

“We are grateful for this donation and assure you that these items will be used for their intended purpose,” he said.

Mr. Amoako also called on the government and philanthropists to emulate Rev. Ameyaw’s initiative by supporting St. Joseph Hospital, particularly its children’s ward and other infrastructure needs.
