Rumours are gaining momentum in Kumasi that veteran broadcaster Dr. Kwame Adinkra could be joining Kesben FM as the new host of the station’s morning current affairs programme.
The development, which has generated considerable interest among radio listeners in the Ashanti Regional capital, comes amid speculation over the next move of the former morning show host of Kumasi-based Pure FM.
However, when contacted by Kumasi Mail for his reaction to the reports, Dr. Kwame Adinkra declined to comment on the speculation.
No official confirmation has yet been issued by either Dr. Adinkra or Kesben FM regarding the reported move.
Dr. Adinkra is regarded as one of the prominent radio voices in Ghana, particularly in Kumasi, where he has built a career spanning several decades.
Over the years, he has worked with a number of radio stations, including Otec FM, Fox FM, Kapital Radio, Abusua FM, Angel FM, Atinka FM and Pure FM.
His distinctive broadcasting style and experience in current affairs programming have made him a familiar voice among radio audiences in Kumasi.
For many listeners in the city, Dr. Adinkra has been a regular morning companion, with his programmes often attracting discussions on politics, social issues and matters affecting residents.
If the reports of his possible move to Kesben FM materialise, his arrival could attract significant attention to the station’s morning current affairs programme and potentially reshape the competitive radio landscape in Kumasi.
For now, however, the reports remain unconfirmed, with listeners awaiting an official word from Dr. Adinkra or the management of Kesben FM.
