The governing board of Kejetia City Market Ltd. (KCML) has been officially inaugurated, marking a significant step in the oversight and management of the Kumasi Kejetia Market Complex.
The reconstituted management board is chaired by Hon. Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, Mayor of Kumasi. The board is expected to provide strategic direction and ensure effective administration of the market, one of the Ashanti Region’s key commercial hubs.
Other members of the board include Francis Dwira Darko, Metro Coordinating Director of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA); Oheneba Owusu Afriyie, who serves as Vice Chairman and represents Otumfour in his capacity as Appagyahene of Manhyia; Osman Sana, representing the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs; and Anthony Dzadzra, representing the Ministry of Finance.
The board also includes Dr. Benjamin Dwomoh as the Kejetia Representative and Nana Evelyn Serwaa Boadu, the Central Market Representative, who serves as Ntoma Hemaa. Lawyer Patrick Adu Poku will serve as Metro Solicitor and Secretary to the board.
The inauguration of the board is expected to strengthen governance structures at KCML and enhance operational efficiency at the Kejetia Market Complex, which plays a vital role in trade and economic activity in Kumasi.
