Richard Ofori Agyemang-Boadi, popularly known as King Zuba, has expressed his gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for nominating him for consideration as the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Chief Executive.
King Zuba was one of three individuals vetted by the Ministry of Local Government for the position.
The announcement of his nomination was made in a press statement by the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim.
The news was met with widespread applause and optimism about his capacity to manage the affairs of Kumasi effectively.
In a post on his official Facebook page, King Zuba wrote, “I am indeed humbled. Thank you Mr. President. Chairman Nana Kwasi, thank you for being there for me. Thank you Otumfuo Osei Tutu.”

He also expressed appreciation to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his continued support, and to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Augustus Andrew Nana Kwasi, for standing by him throughout the process.

King Zuba further extended his gratitude to the grassroots members of the party, pledging to prioritize their welfare and ensure inclusive development across Kumasi.

He further commended his church for their the Tafo Pentecost International Worship Center (PIWC) for their prayer support.

The nomination of King Zuba is expected to undergo further consideration and approval by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Members through election which will be supervise by the electoral commission in the coming days.
