Head Coach of Asante Kotoko SC, Prosper Narteh Ogum has returned to training following his recovery from a successful surgery five weeks ago.In his absence, Assistant Coach David Dickson Ocloo assumed managerial responsibilities, leading the technical team to a 2-1 victory over Hearts of Oak in the inaugural Democracy Cup last month.
Upon his return to the to the Adako Jachie training ground on Wednesday, July 31, Coach Ogum was warmly welcomed by the rest of the technical team, players and fans who thronged to the venue.
Heading into his third season with Asante Kotoko, Ogum is looking forward to winning over the fans by playing attractive football and securing a trophy.
In his first season, he led the team to win the Ghana Premier League in 2022, but his second season was marked by poor results and controversy.
The club has shown their commitment to building a strong team for a successful comeback under Ogum by parting ways with 21 players and actively recruiting new talents.
Kotoko will face Karela United when they begin their campaign in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season in September.
