The National Investment Bank (NIB) has donated 50 desktop computers and two laptops to the Salaga-South Constituency following a request by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, to support ICT education in two senior high schools.
The equipment, handed over on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, is earmarked for Salaga Senior High School (SASS) and T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School (T.I. Amass), both of which have struggled for years with inadequate ICT infrastructure.
Hon. Hajia Zuwera thanked NIB’s Managing Director, Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria, and his team for “graciously approving and fulfilling” her request, describing the intervention as “a concrete investment in the digital future of young people in Salaga-South.”
She said the donation underscores the bank’s commitment to educational development through its corporate social responsibility efforts, adding that the computers would directly boost digital literacy and enhance teaching and learning in the beneficiary schools.
The MP assured NIB that the devices would be delivered to the schools without delay and put to effective use. She also announced a broader plan to fully modernize the ICT laboratories in both institutions, noting ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Education, relevant agencies, and international partners.
Hon. Hajia Zuwera was accompanied by her brother, Mr. Salifu Hamid-Kanyiti, who also serves as a Personal Assistant to the Minister of Education, during the presentation.
