The Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has reiterated the party’s commitment to revitalizing agricultural colleges as a crucial part of its strategy to promote Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
Speaking at an event at the Kwadaso Agricultural College, he emphasized that under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP will continue to create an enabling environment for agricultural colleges to thrive, recognizing the significant role agriculture plays in Ghana’s industrialization agenda.
During the engagement, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, unveiled an ambitious plan by Dr. Bawumia to prioritize agriculture if elected President in 2024.
He explained the NPP vision of modernizing agricultural sector, leveraging advanced technology and international expertise to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
“The NPP remains committed to revitalizing agricultural colleges as a key component of our broader TVET strategy. With God’s grace and under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia, we will ensure that these institutions flourish to support our industrialization goals,” Napo stated.
He also encouraged the students of Kwadaso Agricultural College to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia as President and retain Prof. Kingsley Nyarko as the Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, to ensure sustained progress and prosperity.
The Manhyia South MP said Dr. Bawumia’s focus on agriculture is seen as a transformative approach to securing food security and economic growth in Ghana, with a strong emphasis on innovation and capacity building.
