Richard Ahiagbah, the National Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi following a significant improvement in his condition.
Ahiagbah was hospitalized nearly a month ago after being involved in an accident at Duapompo near Konong while en route to a party event in Kumasi.
During his stay at KATH, Ahiagbah New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary Justine Kodua Frimpong, National Chairman of the party Stephen Ayensu Ntim among several people visited him.
In a recent social media post, Ahiagbah expressed gratitude for his recovery, stating, “I am out of the hospital today with a few more knots to untie, but I am back on my feet again. Thank God almighty, and thank you all for your prayers and support.”
He also acknowledged the medical team that cared for him, singling out Dr. Charles K. Dally, Dr. Otu Boateng, Dr. Roland Azorliade, and Professor Peter Ambe, as well as the nursing staff, for their dedicated efforts in his recovery.
Ahiagbah further expressed his appreciation for the leadership of KATH, led by Prof. Addai-Mensah, and vowed to support and advocate for the hospital to continue improving healthcare outcomes for Ghanaians.
Reflecting on his ordeal, Ahiagbah described his experience as both frightening and painful, noting that it highlighted the challenges and opportunities within Ghana’s healthcare system. In response, he announced plans to establish the Turning Point Foundation, aimed at promoting a people-centered, outcome-driven health policy in Ghana.
