Tinga Wura Alhaji Sampson Seidu Abudu, Member of Ghana’s Council of State representing the Savannah Region, has died.
The Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area, Yiram Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso, together with Chiefs and Elders of the Sarfope Royal Gate, announced his death in a statement issued on Sunday.
The statement described the late Tinga Wura as a revered community leader and custodian of tradition who devoted his life to promoting peace, unity and development.
It said his wisdom, selfless service and role as a unifier would be greatly missed by the people of Bole and the Savannah Region.
The circumstances and exact time of his death were not disclosed.
His remains are expected to be flown from Accra to Bole this morning and laid in state at the Bole Royal Museum to allow the public to pay their final respects.
The Paramount Chief has invited Chiefs, Queen Mothers, elders, relatives, friends and the general public to join the Royal House and the bereaved family in mourning the late Tinga Wura and observing the necessary traditional rites.
The statement was signed by Abdulai Haruna Obey, Secretary to the Paramount Chief of Bole Traditional Area.
The late Tinga Wura served as the Savannah Region’s representative on the Council of State, the constitutional advisory body to the President.
