The Western Regional Youth Wing has congratulated Dr. Tony Aubynn on his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) by President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement signed by the Regional Youth Organizer, Mustapha Iddrisu, the group expressed excitement over the appointment, describing it as an honour to the youth of the Western Region and Ghana as a whole.
The statement highlighted Dr. Aubynn’s previous contributions to the Regional Youth Wing, particularly his role as a Member of the Finance Committee under its auspices. It also praised his extensive experience in the solid minerals and oil and gas sectors, spanning over 20 years.
“We are convinced that Dr. Aubynn will deliver diligently in his new role. He left an indelible mark as the CEO of the Minerals Commission with remarkable successes. It is, therefore, our conviction that he will lead the Petroleum Hub to achieve its overarching aims and objectives,” the statement noted.
The Western Regional Youth Wing also assured Dr. Aubynn of its unflinching support as he takes up his new position, joining numerous Ghanaians in celebrating his well-deserved appointment.
Dr. Tony Aubynn is widely recognized for his leadership in Ghana’s mining and petroleum sectors, having held various executive positions, including CEO of the Minerals Commission and senior roles in the oil and gas industry.
His appointment to the PHDC is expected to drive Ghana’s petroleum infrastructure development and enhance the country’s position in the global energy market.
